For pasta lovers, the Whole Prawn Pappardelle is a standout, boasting a creamy crayfish bisque base harmoniously blended with whole black tiger prawns, garlic, and fresh herbs.

The Breakfast Menu offers its own delightful surprises. Formally the cleverly named Catch 21 Seafood café, St Marée has the same ownership, but an updated décor and new Asian influence menu with focus on the now ubiquitous sharing plates – but actually constructed and served properly. The dishes were creative, the flavours fragrant and often surprising with definite “umami” and the service was delightful. We had a nice chat with owner/Chef Oliver at the end of our meal, and he clearly has passion for his food and a commitment to providing a first-class experience for his diners. Highly recommended – as is a sunset walk on Takapuna beach first.

An hidden gem! Recently refurbished with style. Food is unbelievable. Fresh, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The chicken liver pate’, nested in a chicken-shape cracker was beautiful and tasty. I have seen high quality ingredients used on the dishes such as 24 months aged Italian Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegars (the guava one on the oysters was to die for) from Pukara Valley.

I want to specifically mention great service. We were 1/2 an hour late for the breakfast menu, but we asked if chef could make us Chavanmushi. Our waiting staff went to ask and chef agreed to cook it. It was my birthday. So they really made my day because we came to try that item. Thank you very much The dessert was also very tasty.

Its a secret. At the back of the shops. Walked in and thought it was cafe. It is absolutely awesome. Not ordinary food but a gastronmic delight. Order anything, we shared many of the dishes and glad we did as they were all great. I have to go back and try the rest of the menu. It isnt just eating it is an experience not expected. 3 chowders, i only ate two. Go with friends so you can taste more dishes. I have paid much much more for this quality.

We decided to eat brunch at Carful 21 Eatery today. I had bacon and eggs which I enjoyed, and my partner had seafood chowder that she found disappointing, whilst it tasted good, it hardly had any seafood in it. Consisting of 1x prawn, 1x mussel and 1x clam, it was not substantial enough to merit the $29 price. Coffee and matcha were good.

Had the most delicious lunch. Every dish perfect. Stunning presentation and perfect flavors. Have to go back to try other dishes we couldn't fit in this time. Their breakfast options look very tempting too!

Absolutely outstanding dining experience – 100% recommend! If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit. We ordered oysters, tartar, scallops, prawn toast, market fish, wagyu beef short ribs with prawns, and the chowder share combo. Every single dish was excellent, but a few really stood out. The wagyu beef short ribs (a must-order!) were melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the market fish was perfectly cooked with incredible flavour, complemented beautifully by the sauce and mushrooms. After sampling all three chowders, I’d recommend going for the clam chowder. The Dry Aged Kingfish & Salmon Tartare was also a highlight, fresh and perfectly balanced. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Baba gonoush are highly recommended. Short rib surf&turf are taste so good. Didn't expect the tiger prawn to be this big. The idea of make a flour tempura to a shape of oyster shell for the fish tare tare is just amazing. Not Only enjoyed by tasting and also vision. Food price are cheap, chowder cost only $12. Service are also good, people are so kind and showing the careness of the customers. However, The food are too good to let me focus on the service. Chef was giving me a liver pate appetizer An extraordinary night.
